They say money doesn’t grow on trees, but I think you can grow it on something even better! Your home computer. To make your money tree grow, you will need to give it a home and a place to grow. You can do this by creating your own website. Here are some basics steps to creating your own website:
1.Pick a domain name. Make sure the name relates well to the information on your website. If you can, make it short and easy to remember.
2.Create your web site using a web site creator, hand coding your own html, or a combination of both.
3. You will need to sign up for a hosting account to get your website online.

In my last article “How To Open a Business,” I wanted you to answer questions that needed to be answered before opening your business. Everyone at one time or another has said to themselves “I want my own business.” But is it enough just to want your own business?
Your answers to the questions should give you an idea if you are the type of person that can handle the stress of owning your own business.
Since you have decided to open your own business, “NOW WHAT?”
Let’s say that you decide to open a dollar store – where everything is a dollar. You have found what you believe is the perfect location. You have talked with the landlord and are working out a lease. You have gone to your county and bought a business license. And you have applied for a tax id in your state.

Remember what it was like when you were a child and you wanted something? What did you do? I am willing to wager that you simply asked for it. In fact if you wanted something bad enough, I would bet that you asked and asked and asked. In fact you may have even claimed it when you were asking. If you have children now, I would like you to notice what they do when they want something. They ask for it. Often they even get what they ask for.
Why is it that as adults, we forget to ask for what we want or need? Is it that because when we were children, we asked and were told ” No you can’t have that?” Is it because we are simply afraid that we will be told NO?
Now I am going to really stretch out here, stay with me.
At networking meetings I used to host we were holding finalist drawings at each meeting for a trip to the Cayman Islands. There were a few people who were winning these drawings a lot. Why was that? Is it because they were asking for it, or was it because they were claiming it? The answer is both.

You are standing on a small stage yelling, “What’s the name of the game?!”
“Win as much as you can!!!” comes roaring back.
“Who’s responsible for your score?!”
“I am!!”
The audience is composed of ninety men, all prisoners in a federal maximum security prison.
One more thing – you’re a woman.
For three years, Alicia volunteered every Thursday at FCI (Federal Correctional Institute) in Bastrop, Texas-
“I used my skills as a corporate trainer to help these men learn to shift their perspective on themselves and the world.”
“Along the way the prisoners taught me as much, perhaps more, than I taught them.”
“In my training business, I use games as a way to break down barriers and shift perceptions. What I came to realize is that your behavior in a game is an exaggerated reflection of your behavior in real life.”
Games are an opening to behave true to our natures, to react immediately rather than with a careful response. Depending on the other players, we may monitor our behavior less in a game than in the real world, but we aren’t acting differently. In a game there are no emotional holds barred.
